The Charles Woodland series of wines trace their heritage back to local pioneers of the district. These wines are prescribed to select grapes from across the whole region and experiment with styles, blends and varieties.

2012 provided the district with a wonderful growing season with good soil moisture from good winter rainfall followed by a warm and drier than long term average spring.
Summer remained warm and dry however requiring careful and judiciour irrigation to allow good canopy growth allowing he developing fruit with suitable shading to ensure fully developed fruit flavors.
Wine treatment is individualized to the grapes style and blend thereby adding to the interest and quality offered in the Charles Woodland series.
However all wines will have minimum "non-aggressive" oak treatment to give balance.
